We want to hear from you on more walking and cycle paths
By Lynne Doherty, Conservative Councillor and leader of West Berkshire Council
We know that cycling and walking keeps us fit, saves us a lot of money, and importantly, helps us reduce our carbon footprint.
We’ve been making walking routes and cycle ways safer and more available across the district. I’m pleased to report that in partnership with West Berkshire Council and Speen Parish Council, we’ve secured £280,000 for a new shared footpath and cycleway from Stockcross to the A4, along the B4000. It will mean people can leave their cars at home and walk or bike it into Newbury.
Now, we want to hear from you. Is there anywhere in Newbury Speen, or across the district, that would benefit from this type of shared footpaths and cycleways? Please let us know below.
