Despite his Ministerial duties West Berkshire is Richard Benyon’s priority. He led a campaign to protect and improve rail services to and from Newbury stations and continues this fight. He has supported Newbury’s Flood Alleviation Scheme and gained government funding for it. He works closely with local Police and our Police Commissioner on crime and anti-social behavior issues. He spends a lot of time in West Berkshire Schools talking to pupils and teachers and feeding their concerns to ministers. He works with the local NHS to make sure the care is of the highest standards. Richard says:
“Conservative members of Newbury Town Council work hard for our community to make sure our people get the services and help they need”.
