Last Friday, Richard Benyon attended a question and answer session with sixth form students at Kennet School.
Pupils were offered the chance to quiz Newbury’s Member of Parliament on any topic of their choosing. Questions ranged from the forthcoming Scottish Independence referendum, to the current situation in Crimea. Closer to home Richard was asked for his thoughts on higher education and outlined the importance of voting.
Richard said, “I was highly impressed by the range of questioning and the level at which these students are politically conscious. It is always a pleasure to visit Kennet School, which has a great reputation for academic excellence.”
