Member of Parliament for Newbury, Richard Benyon, has welcomed the news that a project to locate a renal dialysis unit at West Berkshire Community Hospital, is on track.
Richard said: “This is great news for West Berkshire. The Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust informs me that they are to construct the building within the next calendar year, which will be fitted out on the ground floor with a renal dialysis unit providing 10 stations.”
He continued: “As Vice-Chair of the All-Party Kidney Group, I know just how vital these services can be for local communities. The Newbury and Thatcham Hospital Building Trust will be running a public campaign for donations as soon as contractors start on site and I will be playing my part in raising funds.”
