An exciting future for Hungerford & Kintbury
By Councillor Dennis Benneyworth, Hungerford & Kintbury ward (Conservative)
Hungerford is a lively and vibrant town, and we need to keep it that way. That’s why we’re bringing together some of the town’s key stakeholders from stallholders, shopkeepers, and landowners to put together a new strategy for the town.
This plan is looking at how we can further boost commerce in our town, preserve our fantastic independent shops and character, and keep it a successful, self-contained place.
But it’s not just about the town centre — we are securing investment to improve some of our 50 square miles of parishes across the entire ward of Hungerford & Kintbury. Recent highlights include new playground equipment in Welford and money for projects around the Jubilee Centre in Kintbury.
With the right planning and a decent chunk of investment, we have a very exciting future ahead for Hungerford & Kintbury. I’m proud of what we have managed to achieve for local people in the last four years, and hopefully we’ll have another four years to do some more good work.
