This morning, Richard Benyon attended a Level 2 Bikeability class with students from Hungerford Primary School.
Bikeability is a national cycling programme designed to provide young people with the skills and confidence to cycle on Britain’s roads. The programme is administered by Cycling England and is based on the National Standard for Cycle Training, run by the Department for Transport.
After watching the kids being put through their paces, Richard said, “I am really impressed with Bikeability training, which takes cycling proficiency into the twenty-first century. As a cyclist myself, I fully appreciate the importance of learning how to be safe on our roads.”
He continued, “I was really impressed with the children. They were all really enjoying themselves and looked comfortable undertaking set manoeuvres.”
